This restaurant is a perfect place for a romantic dinner. It was in the middle of a movie set right now but that will be probably taken down in two days. The food was delicious the restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. I like the beef tenderloin which was extremely tender.

This place is definitely worth the drive. We had a groupon and headed up to Heber to get out of the heat of SLC. The building is really cute and looks very historic. The food was really good. We started with the hoisin calamri and shrimp and the flatbread. I forgot to say no mushrooms on the flatbread but after I picked them off I really enjoyed it. The calamari and shrimp were my favorite though. The breading was light and the calamari and shrimp were tender. I loved the sweetness of the hoisin glaze. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad. It was good but nothing really special. I had the tenderloin with mashed potatoes. The meat was perfectly cooked and tender. And the sauce on top - amazing!! I didn't eat the vegetable because I don't care for snap peas. But it wasn't as if I didn't have plenty of food. The portions are generous. The dessert, however, stole the show. We had the gingersnap ice cream sandwich with warm caramel sauce. It was to die for!! I would seriously drive the 40 minutes to Heber just for that!! Definitely a good meal and I can't wait to go back.

Great restaurant in Heber. Its located in a cute little old building, and it sort of feels like you're eating in someone's dining room. The waitress was very friendly. I got the salmon, which was on their summer menu (I believe the menu changes) and thought it was delicious. My husband got the chicken, which he enjoyed. The wine selection was ok, could have been a little better. The brownie sundae was served in a cute sundae glass. We will definitely be returning at some point.

I have traveled across the US and often try out Baby Back Ribs when I can. I have always compared the ribs to a place in Virginia Beach, VA, named Frankie's Ribs. Today I will begin to compare future ribs I eat to the ribs served at Snake Creek Grill! Outstanding is what I have to say.

Sunday evening wine pairing. The food was phenomenal, paired perfectly with the wines brought in from Spain. The service was great. The restaurant is an absolute gem. When in Heber do yourself a favor and make sure to stop in for an amazing culinary treat. Delicious! Can't wait to go back

Wow. The best ribs I've had since I left the Carolinas. My wife loved the steak. Both were so tender you could eat them with a fork, maybe a spoon. Love the old west village ambience!

The food is excellent and really full of flavor. Chef dean has done an incredible job with a wide variety Of entrees etc. kale salad a must and the halibut to die for. Hostess was very nice along with the support staff. Would have rated 5 star but server was below average and pushed the meal. Past service has been much better. Jenna needs a tune up.

Terrific meal and overall experience was great. Hostess worked to get us seated quickly, personable friendly waitress and support staff. Food was great. Loved the flatbread- great combo of toppings. Ribs were so tender no knife needed and flavor was terrific. Try it!

I ate here on a rainy/snowy Saturday. The restaurant staff was waiting for patrons to appear because we arrived before anyone else. For starters, we tried the flat bread and the onion rings. The onion rings were perfectly crunchy and sweet. The dipping sauce was also very tasty. The flat bread was my favorite. The mushrooms were soft and juicy. The cheese and arugula combined splendidly. I had the pumpkin ravioli. It was excellent. The filling was creamy, the pasta was perfect, and the tangy gorganzola sauce brought it all together. I would definitely order it all again. And everyone at my table also enjoyed their food. They sampled crab penne, the bison burger, molasses chicken, and chicken caesar salad. There were no complaints. And the staff was superb. Worth the drive from Salt Lake anytime.

This visit was less impressive. Still loved the generous portions, the ambiance, and sustainable meats and fish. But the sides weren't as good. Maybe because many of the veggies weren't in season? I wish they offered more root vegetables and winter squashes in October, instead of asparagus and peas.

This is definitely a little hidden treasure in the town of heber. Chef dean is brilliant. We walked in not expecting much just cause there weren't a lot of cars in the parking lot for a Saturday night. The hostess was friendly and seated us quickly. Right away, I loved the atmosphere. It was cozy and homey, yet almost classy. Our waitress, Theresa, was so friendly and helpful. We loved her! We ordered the onion ring appetizer, which was literally the best onion rings I have ever had! They were crunchy and the blue cheese dip was to die for! I ordered the pork tenderloin and my husband has the ribs. I have never had a pork tenderloin cooked that perfectly to perfection. But quite honestly, the ribs were well over a 10 rating. They fell clean off the bone and were the juiciest, most tender ribs I have ever had! Soooo good!!!!! And for dessert, we had the fluffy donuts with coffee dipping sauce. I could drink that sauce! And the donuts were so light and airy and delicious. My husband and I could not stop raving about that place the whole way home! I am definitely recommending this place to friends and I will DEFINITELY be back in he near future!!!!!

This is a hidden gem in heber. The food and service was amazing. We loved our waitress. I went with a group 2 other people and we all ordered separate dishes so we could try a little bit of each other's. For dinner, we had the ribs, the penne with artichoke and crab, and the creamy ravioli. All were very good but would suggest the ribs out of all of them. For dessert, we did the same thing-- the ginger ice cream sandwiches, strawberry rhubarb, and the fluffy donut holes. Would recommend all but the ginger ice cream sandwiches were amazing. You dip them in the caramel sauce, so good.

The food was absolutely amazing! I got the crab pasta and my boyfriend ordered the ribs and to this day he still says they're the best ribs he's ever had! We want to head back to Utah next winter & will definitely make a stop here again :)

A big surprise and one of the best meals we have had on a five month RV trip. Had the ribs and they were fantastic. We would have preferred a bit less sauce. Wait staff (Jenna, Maddy, and others) all outstanding.

This place was really good! Our reservation in park city was cancelled so we decided to take a drive and they seated us at the bar, right by the door in the middle of the winter. I'm not really sure why, it seemed like there was a bunch of open spots. The food was pretty decent. We'd definitely go back, at least for the full effect of a table and everything. The bread was really, really good. I almost filled up in that. But have no fear. I always am able to eat more.

This is my favorite restaurant in northern Utah, and worth the drive from the SLC area for a special occasion. All the food has a unique, delicious twist that makes me admire the chef's creativity. A quirky, quaint, and personable little setup - reminds me a lot of Taggart's up Ogden canyon. The servers aren't in a frantic rush, which can be relaxing as long as you're not in a hurry. Definitely some of the best ribs I've ever had (I regret not getting them again last time we went). Get the ribs. I love the chipotle bbq shrimp appetizer, too. And the ribs - did I mention the ribs? Snake Creek is on the pricey side, but you won't regret going for a special occasion. 4.5/5 stars ... I'm rounding up because I've had great experiences all 4 times I've been.

My husband and I 'happened' upon this place only because of all the fancy cars parked in the parking lot. I figured that by the number of cars and the brand of cars we were in for something yummy. We were thrilled with our experience. This place is for the true foodie. We loved everything that we ordered. Service was great. Location was charming.

We had a great dining experience here, both food and service! As for the food, we got the flatbread appetizer, bison burger, and banana cream pie dessert. To our delight, the flatbread looked like an italian wood-fired pizza. With mozzarella, flavorful mushrooms and other veggies, it tasted as good as or better than some of the wood-fired pizzas one comes across in Salt Lake. We mentioned we were sharing the bison burger, but didn't expect to get two separate plates with portions split evenly among them and our own pickles. They really went above and beyond!! We were very pleased. The burger was very juicy and flavorful, the ciabatta bun was moist. The fries were well executed, very thin almost like frites. The veggies that went with the burger were great, the tomatoes obviously came from someone's garden (they were as divine as the ones we grow in our own garden). We also really enjoyed the black forest banana cream pie. It was creamy where it needed to be, crunchy where it needed to be, and the banana chunks mixed well with the chocolate crust and mousse. As for service, all of the servers were very kind and helpful. Our assigned server was particularly accommodating and delightful. She had a good attitude/demeanor and was very efficient. We will definitely be back!

Saw the review from Joseph C. and felt it necessary to respond. My husband and I have travelled the world, lived on both coasts and eaten in wonderful restaurants in France, Italy, South Africa, China, New York, Los Angeles and New Orleans to name but a few. Snake Creek Grill is one of our all-time favorite dining spots. From the excellent service, (often provided by Zib, a wonderful waitress,) to the extraordinary care taken with food preparation, we have always been extremely pleased. We usually order wine and have never been disappointed by the selection or the presentation. In all my years of dining, I have never been offered a more expensive bottle of wine for the same price as a bottle I ordered that wasn't available, which Joseph C. indicated is the norm. I am curious as to where this is the practice. Certainly not in Paris, London, Rome, New York, Los Angeles or Beijing. The regular menu items are wonderful. Especially good are the ribs and the Utah trout. Nightly specials are always excellent, and I can unequivically recommend any fish special the kitchen prepares. I suppose it is possible for anyone to have a bad experience on a given night, but since we have eaten at Snake Creek Grill on average of 12 to 15 times a year for the past 16 years, I can say with some confidence that whatever happened to Joseph C. and his party was the exception and not the rule. If you find yourself in the Heber Valley and want a terrific dining experience in a unique setting, don't hesitate to go to Snake Creek. However... reservations are strongly recommended... especially during ski season!

Just ok. Onion rings are too bready. Onions are undercooked. Got the 'hanger steak' for $20+. Not great. My wife got a fillet and we both had better for less the night before at Carvers in Sandy. Good service and good desserts but I wouldn't go back for an entree.

I'm giving this place one star for makers mark. That's pretty much it. FYI the menu online is completely different from the actual menu. Overpriced & terrible service. Terrible. Came to this little hole in the wall for dinner with a group of 11 on a Friday night. We called and made reservations and were seated quickly. Which was only thing quick about this place. Our waitress, Zib who claimed she worked there for 16 years was clearly a very unhappy lady and offered probably the worst service I've ever received . Someone asked her what she recomended and she came back with a very smart ass remark about everything being good. Literally didn't give one suggestion, and moved on to the next person. In my opinion when a customer asks you a question like that it's a chance to sell some of the great/more expensive plates on the menu. We sat at our table for about ten minutes before even putting in a drink order. The girls ordered a bottle of wine which was not available, so the waitress came back without a wine list and offered another bottle that she knew very little about not even a price range. Typically in a nice restaurant when a bottle of wine is all out of stock they give you another bottle for that same price which you intended on purchasing. That was not the case. Every table around us that had a bottle of white wine had a bottle chiller. We were never even offered. When people go out for dinner and are paying at least 50$ a head you would think it would be motivation for the waitress to at least give a little effort. None was shown whatsoever. Probably because she was getting gratuity of 20% added on the bill. What put me off about this place the most was when one of my buddies went to the bathroom he over heard our waitress talking about our table saying "yeah it's terrible, there's a little girl with no parents " talking about my daughter who in fact was sitting with her mother/father the whole time. My buddy waited til we left to tell me this because for such Sh** service I would have walked out in a second. To our waitress Zib, it's sad that you've been working there for 16 years but Next time you should make sure when your talking about the customers who are tipping you so you can buy your meth you should make sure they don't hear you. Pretty sure my daughter could have served us better than you. Maybe it's time for a career change! - sincerely, The 23 yr old father of two with more class, education, and work ethic than yourself. P.S good thing you added that gratuity because I would have left you zero, zip, nada.

Travelling from Philadelphia to San Francisco I found this restaurant in the hotel night stand... and am I glad I did. I got my meal as take out, but wished I had eaten in. The restaurant is absolutely charming inside, comfortable décor, great lighting, and the perfect mix of casual elegance. The hostess, Luceille was lovely, warm, and welcoming. I got the plank grilled salmon- cooked to perfection, I mean absolutely perfect! The sauce was indescribably buttery, creamy, and mildly lemony. The accompanying vegetables were nothing short of delightful, crispy and fresh. This place is a gem. I would have given it five stars were it not for my appetizer that was just above average and the dark parking lot and walk way made this out of towner feel weary about the surroundings

Really wonderful little gem hidden in a cute western complex. I love that it is away from the Park City madness! The food was delicious - homemade and reasonably priced. The serving staff was very attentive, genial and friendly.

It is good, but not great. And when I say that I am referring to the food. We've been meaning to try SCG for quite a while and so finely did with my FIL and his SO in July. The interior and service are done quite nicely, not pretentious and hovering but there if you need them. Our entrees are what left me scratching my head. I had the risotto and it was oddly sweet. Yes I do realize that it has caramelized onions in it but that should not be enough to have the whole dish result in the overall flavor. I did add the grilled shrimp, which were fine but overcooked (which I am used to in almost any restaurant.) My husband's hanger steak was very under-seasoned, the hash browns were decidedly not crispy but the veggies were good. The FIL's burger was fine, just not memorable in any way and I completely forget what the other member of our party ordered. Perhaps SCG would benefit from changing the menu up a bit more often? As I said, we've had it on our radar and in those few years, I recognized the menu as being pretty much the same each time I checked their website. Definitely make reservations if you want to try this place as we were there on a quiet Sunday night in Heber and it filled up quickly.

I loved my salmon dish -- the vegetables were the star not the side. I think all in my party were pleased with their food. They do try to tell you you can only use one coupon per table. So, we said we could sit at different tables, but then they recanted and said we could do it this time. Wha? There were at least a dozen empty tables in the restaurant and weren't busy. I don't get that policy.

The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that the service was a little slow but that could be because we were there on Sunday evening. It won't stop us from coming back though. There are quite a few other things on the menu we want to try. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

SCG is located in an odd, old-timey strip mall about a mile west of Heber's Main Street. It's a nice little place with grander aspirations. Unfortunately, their food doesn't justify their prices (although the portions are typically Utah). All of the food--from flatbread (really a small pizza) to halibut special to pesto ravioli--was fine, even tasty. My halibut was huge, reasonably cooked, unfortunately crusted, and paired with very good mashed potatoes and asparagus. Bizarrely, though, it also sat on an intrusive lump of wilted spinach. The ravioli is in a pesto broth and is closer to soup than sauced pasta. But that's not a complaint; it was good. They could really stand to expand their wine list, especially those by the glass, although they do make a point of telling you on the menu that you can cork & carry. I suppose my review boils down to this: I have no genuinely passionate feelings either way about this restaurant.
